Last updated: June 15, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using BarkCard ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

BarkCard is a desktop application that uses on-device AI to monitor and classify dog vocalizations. All audio and video processing happens locally on your computer. BarkCard does not provide veterinary advice, behavioral diagnosis, or medical recommendations.

3. License

BarkCard grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on your personal devices.

  • Free tier: You may use the free version of BarkCard indefinitely at no cost.
  • Pro license: A one-time purchase of $29 grants you a license to use Pro features on up to 3 devices. The license does not expire.

You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or redistribute the App or any part of it.

4. Payments and Refunds

Payments for BarkCard Pro are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy handles payment processing, tax collection, and receipts.

Refunds are available within 7 days of purchase, no questions asked. To request a refund, email support@barkcard.app with your order number.

5. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. BarkCard processes all data locally on your device. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details on what data is collected and how it is handled.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

BarkCard is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI classifications will be perfectly accurate. BarkCard is not a substitute for professional veterinary or animal behaviorist advice.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BarkCard and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to damage to property, loss of data, or decisions made based on the App's output.

8. Third-Party Software

BarkCard uses open-source software components, each governed by their own licenses. See our Open Source page for a full list of dependencies and their licenses.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
